Hi, that's called "porting in".  To port to Verizon, you'll need to do the following:

-Make sure any outstanding balances (contract or device payments) are settled with your current carrier, otherwise they may hold your number.

-Check that your device is unlocked.  If it's locked to your current carrier, you'll have to find out what their unlocking policy is to see if it can be unlocked.

-If you're bringing your own device, check that it is compatible with Verizon here:

-Note your account number with your current carrier, as this information is needed when porting.

-If you have additional security features enabled in your current carrier's account such as number locking or SIM locking (which block port outs or SIM swaps) you'll need to disable those features.

-Get a transfer PIN from your current carrier when you're ready to port.  Transfer PINs expire within a few days.

Verizon will need your current account number with your current carrier, the transfer PIN, and a valid photo ID to do the port.  I've found it easiest to do a port at a corporate store any time I've switched carriers, as things can sometimes go awry if you try to do it online or over the phone.
