No service during Hurricane Helene

Been with Verizon over 18 years.  Did not have our backs during Helene.  For almost a week, we were on SOS, while folks with T-Mobile were streaming videos and stayed connected .  Lucky we did not have serious emergency. Even now, I only have two bars available. We live in Spartanburg, SC about 40 minutes away from Chimney Rock, NC.  There should be no dead zone in 2024 here.  Only correspondence  has been email saying when the bill is due and amount. No offer for bill reduction. It’s unfortunate and disappointing. Maybe after 18 years, it’s time to move on.

Same. Verizon let all of us down in Western North Carolina. Verizon should be ashamed, they should be offering bill reductions or give everybody out here who was in the disaster areas free service for the month since there has been zero service from them whatsoever. Verizon equals bad company

I just received my bill as well-for the full amount when a lot of that time I had no service/SOS only availability.

I have written a reply three times to this thread and verizon has cleared me out to login and deleted my response, last attempt.  I am a 20 plus year customer and 4 year plus shareholder and I am done.   I was hung up on by their outsourced indian call center while trying to contact an American that actually knew that 2 hurricanes had passed through.  Yeah, the call center had no idea about helene in western nc or that service went down for about a week.  I had contacted them because there was no pro rating on my auto draft.  I believe that should be due to them cutting service off.  why should we pay for that?  Anyway Verizon you should care about your customers you are not too big to fail.  I will be finding a better and cheaper carrier very soon and I recommend every customer do the same.

it is very disappointing.

when you see this and then find out that your bill was higher that's very disappointing.  When the phones did not work. You could not check on friends or family and calling for help in case of a emergency was even worse.  Nothing for the lack of no service. And a non reliable network when it was really needed the most.  I called bc the the website said that. To find out it was only for certain customers. It should have said certain customers not just customers because last I checked i am a customer but I didn't get help.  The rep looked to see where I could cut cost. But nothing Hurricane related.
