Hi there,
Me and several other tenants in an apartment building in the St Elmo district of Austin TX 78745 have no service in the building. This happens inside my own apartment. I am a verizon customer. My phone is constantly in SOS mode. Please advise.

Oh, wow! Dealing with technical issues can be frustrating, especially if you have no service. Our goal is to provide the support you need.
Let's gather more data. When did the problem start (did it ever work)? What recent changes have you made? What exactly happens when you attempt to use the service?

It started in January. Itโs intermittent throughout the day. No changes made. Phone will just randomly go in and out of SOS only mode

@Loki216, if this problem only occurs inside your apartment and you have a 3rd party Wi-Fi source around, it's possible that Wi-Fi provider is interfering with your iPhone picking up Verizon signal. I often shop in the Westgate shopping center not that far from where you are and Verizon service is awesome there, the best I get of anywhere I typically frequent in town.
Have you tried switching your phone's settings to use LTE only while at home to see if things get any better? The only other thing I can think of is there's some kind of EMF interference going on as the only other time I've had a service issue anywhere around the part of town you're talking about is when I was indoors at a radiology clinic and all their equipment was almost completely blocking out the reception on my phone. As soon as I stepped outside, had 5 bars.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.

Hey there,
Totally get that but Iโve had the same wifi for 2 years and this has never been an issue before.
To my understanding, LTE is internet correct? LTE stands for Long Term Evolution. It's a term used for the particular type of 4G that delivers a fast mobile Internet experience. Internet is not my issue here, being able to receive calls is.
Thanks!

Thank you for the information. Is the device on the latest software? Does it only happen at this location? ~Peter
