Verizon has no signal

I just switched my family plan from Tmobile to Verizon for 2 months. Before I switched to Verizon, I went to Verizon's coverage map and checked for LTE/5G/5G Ultra coverage for my address. Verizon coverage map shows good coverage for both LTE/5G/5G Ultra. When I received my iPhone 15 Plus, the phone only showed 1 bar for 50% of the time. The other 50% of the time is NO bar or NO signal. I observed multiple problems with this. One, Calls don't work. People call me but I don't see it. When I call other people, sometimes it works and sometimes it fails. - Two, Text messages delay. A lot of my apps require two-way authentication. When these Apps send me texts, it takes randomly from 1 - 10 minutes for the text message to arrive. I have to toggle the airplane mode for my phone to reconnect to Verizon to get the text.
I called Verizon technical support. They asked me to enable Wi-Fi Calling which I had enabled but Wifi calling won't work. Somehow Wifi Call won't route the calls to Wifi. Verizon ended up asking me to purchase an LTE Signal Extender for $250. Verizon, Is it fair to treat your customer like this?

Sorry to hear your service is so bad. Dead zones can occur anywhere, sadly, and there are assorted causes. If you have no cellular signal at all, then the phone will only work while on Wi-Fi because it otherwise has no connection to a cell phone tower. If you have just one bar showing on the phone, the signal strength is so weak that calls will be unreliable, drop, or even be missed without the phone indicating anything. Texts may or may not be hugely delayed as well.
Here are instructions on how to make Wi-Fi calls on iPhone:

At the same time, you're paying Verizon for cellular service, and it isn't going so well. ๐ If your former carrier is willing to buy out your contract - because it sounds like you signed up for a 36 month thing in order to get the iPhone? - may be time to go back. As for having to buy the network extender, that's an industry practice as the Blue Logo Place also has their customers with signal strength issues buy an extender. Your former carrier no longer sells network extenders which means if their service isn't great, you'd have to buy a signal booster from elsewhere and try to hook it up with their network.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.

Oh, no! Dealing with service issues can be frustrating, especially if you are encountering signal issues. Verizon is here to help.
When did the problem start (did you always have this issue)? What recent changes have you made? Who else is experiencing this problem? Aside from the calls and texts, any other issues (data/internet/apps)?

The issue started since day one. Both my wife and I have the same problem. There is no coverage at my house. If I'm at work or outside, I don't observe this issue. Wifi calling has been enabled but it doesn't help. Data/internet/apps are fine because these traffic are using wifi. Somehow just calls and texts are NOT routing through wifi.

This is how Verizon is helping customers. Asking me to buy more equipment even though I pay for the service and there is no coverage at my home. BTW Verizon map shows good coverage.
