I'm continuously having to toggle Airplane Mode off and then on again to get my Verizon mobile/wireless connection to have any "bars". This isn't an iPhone problem. Please explain why and what Verizon can do to solve this. TY

Well, I've only been a Verizon customer for 2 weeks so I'd say for 2 weeks. I called Verizon support last night, they did diagnostics on my phone, with the end result being that I was asked to "Reset Network Settings", which I did. So it's now about 18 hours later & I haven't seen the situation occur again although I'm not at home. However, I have zero Verizon service at the school I work at (zip code 02460). I was advised to switch to Verizon Plus. I haven't heard (yet) about the other 3 devices (phones) as to whether they're experiencing similar issues. I'm afraid to ask ("let a sleeping dog lie").

No I didn't, despite at least 2 long (1 of which was at least 2 hours) chat sessions with Verizon support reps.
I find myself having to turn Airplane mode on & then off to establish some Verizon service (1 or 2 bars) if I need to make or receive a call at home. And Verizon tells me that the service in my area is just fine. We're in a city next to Boston as opposed to being in some remote place. I never had this problem with AT&T. Incredibly frustrating.

We always want to make sure that your service is up and running. When did this issue start? Have you made any changes or updates to your phone recently?

I've been having the same issue with my phone since earlier this year losing service and either is gone for days or hours and only works on wifi. As I travel it comes and goes but even when it says I have service the phone won't work. I check the network on Verizon site and report the problem and day or two later seems a bit better then just happens again. Called customer service earlier this year they tried troubleshooting the sim and couldn't fix the issue. Go to the verizon store and suddenly had service, went home then didn't. Been doing this on and off for months, longest was 3 months i had no service, was offered no credit and told to replace the phone. I didn't and eventually it was fine for a few months until the outage recently, then everyone else's was fixed and mine still isn't. It's definitely a verizon issue not my phone. I see many other people having the issue nationwide.

Hey there, SuzieQ918, we know how important it is to have reliable service! When you are losing service on your phone are you seeing a"no service" indicator on your screen? You mentioned you had service at the store but not when you returned home. When in your home area, is this mainly happening when you are at your home? Can you verify your zip code so we can take a closer look at the area?

I’m seeing zero bars for Verizon service. Yes, mainly at home where zip code is 02458. And my WiFi calling isn’t working when I have zero bars for Verizon service even though I have 4 bars for my WiFi . And yes, my WiFi calling is turned on.
thank you for your help- much appreciated!
