Why no 5G service as indicated on coverage map

Why does the Verizon coverage map indicate 5G service in my area, and at my specific address,, but we have none. Walking up and down the street outside our home, we barely have 1 to 2 bars of service. We've lived in this house for years and have never seen anything better.

There are a lot of reasons that could be occurring, including but not limited to:

-You're in a dead zone due to being located at the wrong angle to the nearest tower

-There's something absorbing the Verizon signal (lots of buildings, dense forest, bodies of water, something producing strong EMF nearby, I've even heard of some ISP routers having interfering WiFi signal, living near an airport with radio interference from the air traffic control tower)

-Your service plan is deprioritized to other plans and you're in a crowded area with lots of network traffic constantly

-If your phone is carrier unlocked from somewhere else, it may not quite like Verizon since it was originally optimized to work on someone else's network

-Your account may need to be reprovisioned because network changes/upgrades may not have been added to your account so your phone doesn't "know" to use all the available spectrum

-Your SIM card is old and needs replacing

Does the service issue only occur when you're at home, or everywhere you go?

We are in the 85383 zip code, but it’s large so that probably won’t’t help much.

Thanks, the issue is bad throughout our neighborhood. Believe it’s a lack of investment in cellular for our location. Just trying to draw attention to the situation.

You're welcome. You wouldn't happen to be near one of those lakes, would you? Because I've read a number of posts from others who live around bodies of water and for whatever reason, Verizon and water don't get along. Some quirk of the network, as at least one other carrier doesn't have this problem.
