cannot make calls or SMS with new 5g SIM card iphone 13

Hi I don't know what to do and I've had zero luck with Verizon support chat.

A week ago I received a message saying SIM failure and lost all service/use of my SIM card. I chatted with Verizon (because I can't make calls without a SIM and it won't let me make wifi calls.) They sent my a new 5g SIM 4 days later and have been trying to activate it for 3 days now. The chat people have been zero help and keep trying the exact same thing which is sending me a verification text even though I have told them 14 times I cannot receive texts. So I cannot activate my SIM and have had no way of calling the Escalation team as recommended in another post... this is what was said......

"call Verizon at 1-[phone number removed per the Verizon Terms of Service]

press #1 English , press#2 tech support, press #6 escalation team

It’s not your Wi-Fi or the version you’re running or your Sim card it’s something that has to do with the recent upgrade to 5G and they need to add all the short messaging features back on your phone. It took 3 days and even though I didn’t think it would work .. The tech support guy said it will work and sure enough four days later all of my text messages started coming in. This is the answer, DO NOT to the Verizon store, ask to speak to the escalation team and use the phone number above and they will know exactly what you’re talking about as you’re not the only person dealing with this.

The escalation tech said they had to use a “short code CA Tool” and that “short messaging for whatever reason was now not included as a feature on my plan” and they needed to add it back in and it worked.  "

I don't have anyway of calling the escalation team because I have no service and I work alone so I don't have anyone around willing to lend me their phone for 3 hours to talk to Verizon. How can I get this issue escalated?

We're sorry to read that you have not been able to set up your phone for service. Is your device up to date? Did you make any changes before your old SIM stopped working? ~Peter

What should I do if I've been unable to activate my new 5G SIM card from Verizon after days of failed attempts, and customer support keeps sending verification texts, which I cannot receive due to my SIM card issue?

please give information my sim

Oh, wow! Dealing with device activation issues can be frustrating, especially if you have been dealing with it for several days. Let's gather more info.

When did the issue start? What recent changes have you made? What happens when you attempt to activate the new SIM card?
