Can someone direct me to where and how to setup "Wi-Fi calling"¿ and texting from a Verizon 5g iPad, will it utilize the phone number Verizon programed or setup and is showing in the settings?

I don't care if I need to utilize a 3rd party app if absolutely necessary, just want to make calls from the iPad without utilizing my iPhone as it says I can do directly on Apple tech help website but does not say how exactly.

iPadOS version 18.4.1 and it's a iPad Pro 11" model MU112LL/A.

Thank you for helping if you can my mother will be so pleased, if you can give us a lil help‼️

WiFi Calling on iPad

I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.

The phone number assigned to the iPad is blocked for calls/messages and is only for billing purposes.

There are two ways to make and receive calls on the iPad:

Use FaceTime with iPhone as a host

  • From the iPhone "Cellular" settings (Settings > Cellular) turn these features on:
  1. 'Calls on Other Devices' - This requires the iPhone and iPad to be signed into the same iCloud account and nearby.
  2. 'Wi-Fi Calling' > 'Add Wi-Falling For Other Devices' - This allows you to be away from your iPhone.  Not all carriers support this feature.
  • From the iPad "FaceTime" settings (Settings > Apps > FaceTime) turn these features on:
  1. 'Allow Calls on Other Devices'

Use FaceTime with Apple ID

  • From the iPad "FaceTime" settings (Settings > Apps > FaceTime) turn on the following:
  1.   'FaceTime' and select the email address to be reached at
