Anyone know of a qwerty keyboard app for big fingers?

My fingers are size 16 pretty much all of them since my hands are basically squares to put this in prospective my index finger's tip is 3/4 inch wide.  Personally I do alright with the Droid's on screen keypad.  I almost never use the physical one. 

If you have the Eris even my wife had trouble using its keypad.  My understanding is it will get a little better (more sensitive or more accurate) when the OS gets updated finally.

I do have the Eris, and I hate the keyboard! I make mistakes all the time. I was thinking if they had a bigger keypad app, that might help! Thx for the reply!

I make a lot of mistakes too on the internal keyboard.   Try looking through the market & go to search. Type in keyboard . See which comes up.You can view the comments that people have mosted on that particular app to see if it is any good.

You could also consider making your own android keyboard app

i have really fat fingers.  I find using landscape mode so much easier.  Not sure which phone you are using but there is an App called swype floating around.  It uses swipes instead of types.  You basically slide you finger to the letter and it knows what letter you are trying to select.    Doesn't work on the Eris though.  I hope it works after the next major update.

I didn't use the physical keyboard to begin with but am finding I make a lot less mistakes using it and am using it more and more.

The current beta version of sype isn't a limitation of the software of the Eris, it's due to the screen resoluiton.  The version of Swype that can be installed on the Droid is the first beta of the software, and I'm sure they will be coming out with a version for the lower resolution screens, it's just that they had to choose a resolution, and the Droid having the single largest installed user base was the logical choice for them to separate the hardware from the software for testing.

By the way, I love the app, it's great!

there is the crocodile keyboard but as of late it has some issues like to predictive text

but the triangular keys in landscape mode allow people with larger fingers to type better.  but like i said, it has some issues right now.

If you are unable to find a suitable keyboard app, maybe a stylus is the way to go for you.

Well, let me refocus the question then: Can I use my desktop and keyboard to enter stuff into an app and then sync it with the Droid?

With my Treo, I had an app the replicated tasks, contacts, calendar and some set-up.  Then I'd sync it with the phone. 

Do I enter the data on Google then wait for a sync?

Absolutely. Enter your information into your Gmail calendar, contacts, info and let it sync and it's all good.
