Have you tried logging into the web based Market with your Google Email account and pushed the apps from there?

I tried a few things, nothing as drastic as a reset.
I came to the conclusion that were (and maybe still is) problems with the app market.
And my apps have been updating just fine for the last couple of days.

Correct. unfortunately AFTER I reformatted my SD card(which was after emailing all of my 40 pix to myself).....it FINALLY started downloadingI dont know why, but a very inconvience.
That usually happens when apps have been installed and removed that leaves information from previous install still present... I have a habt ti either manually remove these files or occationally copy data and format card to avoid this because I test a number of apps so software gets loaded and unloaded quite a bit on my device.
