I just got my shipment notification and my new Droid X is supposed to arrive tomorrow afternoon. I am very excited and will be new to the Android market, I want to know what is everyone's favorite app and why?

Thanks for your answers in advance. :robothappy:

appbrain! it's a better app to find and download apps than the stock app called "market." also love aloqa because it will list atm's, restaurants, coffee shops, etc (just about whatever you're lookin for) in order of distance from where you are. also tells you what bank the atm's are for so you can find your nearest atm (not just the nearest)

I have to pick just ONE app as my favoriate? That is a very hard choice.  I would say the Carrom3D app is the best. I love playing pool on it. Love how I can play against people online or against another android user

I like googles goggles, advanced task killer, Pandora, etc., not missing my old Blackberry at all...

Hope this helps...

I suggest not using a task killer if you run 2.2.

I like handcent sms for texting. It has a lot of settings for personalizing for each contact. everything from the background, bubble colors, font colors, and even the color of the led. Some of it might be pointless but its a lot of fun. Oh and where's my droid, if you have a tendency to set your phone down and forget where. You can get it to ring even if it's on silent.

K-9 mail

Beejive(beta right now and will buy the full version as soon as they release it worth the money to me)

I'd say Launcher Pro for home screen, Music Junk (have to go to musicjunk.com for that one) for music sharing, Doubletwist for media playback and Astro for file manager.
