I am here to help if you haven't gotten this resolved yet!
Upon further research, I've found out a new version of VCASTApps is available now, Prior to downloading the new Apps (new name), please check Unknown Sources to allow to install of non-Market applications. (Menu - Settings - Applications - Unknown Sources.)
You should then be able to go back to the Market in order to get VCast Apps on the Droid X.
Please let me know if this helps.

V Cast Apps doesn't exist on Droid X Market. Even after searching for "VCast Apps" and then restricting search to Applications by "Verizon Wireless" only. It isn't even on the list.
After attempting to use the website " http://mobile.vzw.com/VCASTApps " and clicking on "Download V CAST Apps" link at the bottom, it says the following:
"The system was unable to process your request, please try again later."
-Only trying to download this program to play Star Legends, which by the way the Media Store on the webiste says my phone is not supported when the Supported Devices clearly lists Droid X as one of the supported devices. Major fail so far.
Edit:
Just tested using Stock Browser instead of the Dolphin HD to download VCast Apps, now named "Apps" and it asked me which browser I wanted to use several times. Possibly redirection codes in the pages. Now it seems to have worked perfectly, that is until I try to do anything with it... "Error: Unable to complete request" even when searching.

Tried out your suggestion about enabling "Unknown applications" and got the same error message: "Error: unable to complete request"
