I installed the Sirius XM app to my HTC Incredible and when I opened the app it was fine. After I closed the app, the only way I can get it to open again is to find the download with my apk manager or other file manager and run it from the download. It doesn't show in my All Programs list, or in any of the options to add it to a home screen (Widget, Program, Shortcut or Folder).
Am I missing something, or is there just no way to save the app to a home screen? Why isn't it listed in my All Programs list? I have rebooted the phone and also downloaded it again in case it somehow got corrupted, but with no success.
Anyone else have this problem, and is there a fix? Could it be an incompatibility issue with the Incredible? I did notice that the only phones Sirius XM lists for the app are the Motorola Doid and the Nexus One. It runs fine on the Incredible, but it is a pain to open every time if I can't save it to my home screen.

Are you using the menu button to exit the program? I have it on my Incredible and I have not had an issue.

Glass Onion,
You are probably just overlooking it in your apps list. The "Sirius XM" icon is there but it is named simply "Online". I had the same problem as you did after installing the app. I looked and looked for an icon named "Sirius XM, Sirius, or XM" but couldn't find it. Then I looked for an icon in the list and lo and behold there it was named "Online". Go and figure! Why should they make things simple and straight forward? Sometimes I think they like to aggravate us users. Good luck...

LennyHO:
Doh! How did I miss that? Thank you very much for pointing that out. I was obviously looking for the name Sirius and carefully checked all apps starting with S, but I never thought it would be listed under any other name.
It's a great app to have, but not worth $2.99 a month, IMO. I am a Sirius subscriber and it's practically all I listen to in the car. Subscribers used to get free online listening with a low bandwidth version with the option of upgrading to higher bandwidth for $2.99, but last year they took away the free option. And without Howard Stern there is even less incentive to pay.

The cost is $2.95 a month. Not to bad really. Sound quality is quite good from a tiny speaker but with headphones it's GREAT! Used it to drive my wife nuts today as we were in her Jeep (we both have Sirius in our Jeeps) She HATES BoneYard .... so I used a small audio cable and changed her radio to Aux and played BoneYard and she couldn't figure how to change it. LOL

If you already have the premium online service (I was grandfathered in and have it free) it extends to the Droid also.

Do you have to be a Sirius XM subscriber for the $2.95 fee or is it just $2.95. I might enjoy that. At least a lot more than I do the fm radio that seems to get stuck on whatever station you tune it to first.

fezzik.....i know u get that rate if you're a subscriber. i doubt you get it if you're not, as the regular rate for a normal subscription is close to $15/mo. however....xm has always been pretty good about negotiating. they do a lot (free months, free devices, discounted additional lines, etc) to get or keep subscribers. it would be worth calling and telling them all you want is the app subscription and point out that you don't get all the stations with it...and see if they'll give it to you. i got xm 3 years ago and WILL NOT get rid of it. i use pandora, have a zune, and a lot of music on my phone....but xm is great to hear new stuff, old stuff, sports and news radio.

Although I never listen to HS, I am surprised he is not on the droid app when he is on XM radio online.

Sometimes when I use the app on my Droid, a song from the music player starts playing. The 2 play simultaneously and I have to manually pause the song. Anyone else had this happen?

Rocque,
I also have the problem where the built in music app will start up while I am listening to other music or radio apps such as "Sirius XM", "A Online Radio", "iheartradio", and "Pandora". I have noticed that sometimes it happens when I inadvertently jiggle the headphone connector. If I recall correctly, my old ipod used to turn on whenever I pugged in the headphones. Maybe the Android music app automatically starts up whenever the headphones are connectied (or jiggled). Who knows? I too either pause the song in the music app or I stop the "MediaPlaybackService" altogether. It is annoying.
