Swype Beta

I thought it came with the X.

If not your old beta code should work if you still have your email.

Yes, it does indeed come with the X and, I think, on the Droid 2.

And yes, I can get it again from the first email, although this latest email said that the version I installed is set to expire in a day or so (didn't know that).

My post is to inform those that may have missed out on signing up for the beta version the last time around. And I don't even know if that is posdible. You'll just have to try.

I just got my second bata email from Swype. I have not downloaded it yet.

Since I have the Dx with Swype already installed, I'm forwarding the beta email (with the user name and password) to my daughter, who has an original Droid that recently updated to 2.2 (I think).

I should ask her, but is Swype included in the original Droid 2.2 update?

Did you use swipe on d1? I have gotten past the install page yet.

I used a very old beta on it and it was okay, but if the new beta is as good as the release for the D2 then you need to download it.

I use the keyboard when typing out long emails and post on here... but if I am returning a text I put the phone in portrait and it spits out texts faster than I can think.

I will try it. Unless they are going backwards with the build number its a bight bata build than what's on d2

The beta is closed and I have the Incredible that didn't come with swype already installed, i was able to download a trial version but it expired today and i have scoured the internet for a new one, I signed up weeks ago to be in the beta but have never received an email...please if there's anyone out there that can help i would completely appreciate it, i loved swype, it was the best thing about my phone and now i'm SOL...please help if anyone now has the Droid X and was a part of the beta and would like to send me the apk, i'd be willing to pay for it....thanks

I think that the version I was linked to and allowed to download was for the original Droid. I don't know if it work work on the Incredible. And at any rate, the Swype beta app will try to validate itself and it won't run if it can't. Believe me, I tried and it never worked until I got the official email with my link to the download. Apparently, the Swype writers are keeping a tight grip on the beta versions.

And I thought that Swype was going to be included with the 2.2 update to the Incredible. Was it not?
