Games are compatible with the Droid, and if they were not, it's not up to Verizon to get it fixed. It's up to the developers to allow it to be usedo n Android 2.0.

Problems like this occured with games such as Buka/Totemo/Radiant, until Hexage got it fixed.

There are hundreds of games for Android phones. From your phone touch "Market" and select game. There are  a lot of free games as well.

What games are you referring to? There are a ton of games on the Android Market, with new apps coming out every day.

say for example Oregon Trail. I haven't found it in the Andoid market yet and other sites such as gameloft and the verizon wireless store say their verisons aren't compatiable iwth the droid eris.

hmm... that's weird, because I've searched the market many many times for oregon trail and it never comes up.

sometimes the best apps are at the end of a long list of apps.

as mentioned above game compatiability is based on the developer updating it or not.  I did however find the following to down load the game.  It doesn't mention android ver compatibility however.

This version is a side scroller version so this may not be what you are looking for.

Gameloft was listed elsewhere on findings for oregon trail, but it doesn't look like a have that game for android, so it could be the wrong maker.  ZDnet did have an article mentioning orgeon trail being brought to android, but I believe they no longer have it.
http://www.zdnet.com/blog/cell-phones/gameloft-bringing-20-titles-to-the-google-android-platform/795

Another article mentioned gameloft backing out of android game development, but they do have like 10 games on their actual website.

So after all that, the game you are looking for doesn't appear to currently be made and available for android in general.  Sry.
