I have downloaded several wall papers from the market, but can't find them on my phone. I have gone to menu - wallpaper, but all that shows is photos and wallpaper gallery. I have read that you can go to programs and then to albums, but I don't have albums listed in my all programs. How do I use the wall papers. I have a Droid Eris using 2.1 firmware.

were they apps that contain wallpapers (or widgets)? or were they possibly add on packs (that go to an app or widget that you don't have)? can you give an example (by name) of one that you downloaded?

Can you tell us who wrote those wallpapers?
I check on the NFL Wallpapers. There were two with that exact name. The one with the better rating was by Black Hat Designs. After looking at the permissions and downloading it, I can tell you that you can't use that wallpaper app with the HTC Sense that is loaded onto the Droid Eris. You can access it through the Menu > Wallpapers only if you download a Home replacement app or change the defaults of HTC Sense and use the Stock Android Home as your launcher that is available in the Droid Eris.
When I checked the Disney choices, there were several. One I did try. This one you opened up and saved the wallpaper to your SD card and then you would have to select like a photo similarly to what I wrote before.

also...i "believe" you have a "downloads" folder in your albums app (or gallery, or whatever your pictures app is called on the eris?). when you use many wallpaper apps to download new wallpaper, i think the image is sent to the "downloads" folder. from there, i believe you can long press the image and set it as your background??? not really sure, but here is a link if you really want to see some detailed options for wallpapers on your eris:

Another thing, which app ar you using to get the app because most wallpapers that get downloaded through a app is stored in a system file on the sd card but you wont see them unless you know where to look. Have you tried opening the image gallery and go to all images because this will show every image on system but if its there then you can select it and pull up properties on file like location.

I have had a few wallpaper apps on my phone. Backgrounds, that Disney one I tried out for the OP, Rare Black Wallpapers, etc. All of them created a folder of the App name and saved the wallpapers there. Now if I saved a image off the web, it would save to the Download folder. I would eventually move it around to a different folder so I could organize them.

it's been a while, but now that you mention it, i prolly did manually move all the images to the "downloads" folder? i haven't played around with them for months....but i do recall using my file explorer so i bet i did manually move those there (i hate all the extra folders that are created and like to have all my images in one spot...lol).

Actually I don't mind the folders. They all show up together when browsing the photos app. It helps me remember where I got the images in the first place. Especially since none of those wallpaper Apps are currently on my phone. LOL I keep the download folder to a minimum. If anything there is soemthing I want to keep on my phone, I move it to a more permanent folder for those items.

First off if the apps you downloaded were LIVE Wallpaper app, don't bother and just uninstall them. LIVE wallpapers are NOT supported on the HTC Droid Eris. Okay it can, but that involves voiding your warranty. Which CANNOT be discussed on this forum.
Other wallpaper apps, for example Backgrounds by Stylem Media or Zedge, you have to open up the app and save the wallpapers you want to your SD card. Then to set the images as your wallpaper go to Menu > Wallpaper > Photos. From there you select the (photo) album you want to select from. For example, "Backgrounds" saves everything to a folder called "Backgrounds". Once in the folder, select the wallpaper, resize the image if necessary and select "Save".
Hope that helps.

Are you sure you are changing the wallpaper? That sounds more like you are changing the scenes/profiles that comes with HTC Sense UI.
