16 pro max delivered 2 weeks early?

So my iPhone 16 pro max is apparently arriving 2 weeks early. Originally schedule for October 11. Yesterday received notice from FedEx my phone will be delivered Monday Sept 30. Tracking shows it shipped out from Texas on the 27th, and today its in Memphis. Seems on track for St Louis as indicated. HOW CAN THIS BE? I’ve seen no post from anyone anywhere stating they received their 16 Pro max early

You’re lucky most are still on back order. They should’ve have taken orders they could not fulfill properly. I ordered on the 24th and no update since.

My IPhone 16 Pro Max White Titanium is not coming until October 11th. Purchased it on September 16th and has yet to ship.

Follow-up to my post of 9/28:

Yes, iPhone 16 pro max was indeed delivered by FedX on September 30th.

Order was placed September 14th with scheduled ship date October 11th. Phone arrived 2 WEEKS EARLY, shipping out 9/27 and delivered 9/30.

Considering shipping delays were reported immediately after pre-ordering started on the 13th, there is no explanation for my phone arriving early, specially since my phone was ordered on the 14th. Not complaining of course, but curious nonetheless how receiving the phone early was even possible.
