Having trouble getting internet access while in the Philippines

Depending on what international service plan you have, you might not have data service unless you're willing to pay for international roaming charges. According to Verizon's international coverage map, quite a bit of the Philippines is talk/text only and other areas are 2G or 3G only, making internet access limited. I'm assuming you have an iPhone since this thread is in the Apple forum, so another thing to check is to set your band selection to automatic band selection, not "5G On" or "LTE" so the phone will run in 2G or 3G if that's what's available.
