Every time I try to activate cellular on my new watch I get the error below. Never had an issues connecting phones or watches in the past. Anyone having similar issues? Clearly a Verizon issue and not with Apple. Happens behind their login.
Something went wrong.

We will be glad to help. Where did you purchase this device? Is it connected to Wi-Fi?

Mine is connected to WiFi/phone… everything works great… other than adding cellular plan. It recognizes I’m replacing my old Apple Watch, picks the correct phone number… then gives that error on the Verizon page.

Purchased at Apple store and connected to wifi. Old watch was disconnected from cell plan when I erased it. Very frustrating.

None. And sick of waiting on hold. Never had any issue with Apple. This is all Verizon.

We want to make sure your new device is up and running. Was this for an upgrade or new line of service? What happens when you try to set up the watch?

Dadpool (hope you made it through end of the recent film), sorry you're having some trouble there with the Apple Watch. Are you still having trouble with that? One thing I'd want to just check, is that a device you bought from VZ or a Watch purchased directly from Apple?

It was a replacement device sent directly from Apple.

I cannot stress enough how much this article helped me: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/253756707?sortBy=rank. I talked to SIX TECHS until I found this article and had to literally beg and plead to get a senior advisor to help and they were able to register the IMEI number. Verizon - your techs need trained on this!!! You are losing business because people are giving up!!

I'm having the same issue. The Verizon activation in Apple Watch app spawns a webkit browser that's not safari, and it then asks me to log in using a prepopulated phone number - my phone number - which is not the primary number on the account. Somehow my jetpack is the primary number on the account.
Half the time, the 2FA push notification to the MyVerizon app leads to it saying the request is expired. Half of the time I go back to the webkit browser and it hangs indefinitely waiting for a webhook backend call from the 2FA mechanism. Now my account is locked.
