Calls automatically going to voicemail

My iPhone 14, and 2 out of the 4 other phones on my family plan, have incoming calls automatically go to voicemail. It doesn't happen all the time, just randomly. How can we fix this?

Hi kdbyrnes3, Thanks for bringing this to our attention! The first thing I would check to see if any of the phones are on Do Not Disturb mode and/or any blocked features enabled (ie specific contacts blocked or a general category like "numbers outside my contact list".
If we've already gone through those steps, what are the other models of phones having this issue- Apple or Android? When did you notice this issue started to occur? Are all calls being forwarded to voicemail or is random - if the random calls do they have any commonality (ie same carrier, android phones, etc)?

If your calls fail to come in only some of the time, makes me wonder if your signal strength is weak where you are?  If you are regularly only seeing 1 bar or something in the range of -115 to -120 dBm on your signal strength, that's too weak for calls to work reliably and will cause the "going to VM" problem.  Otherwise, I'd check the phone settings and make sure you don't have it set to silence unknown callers not in your contact list, or that there isn't some mode or routine enabled which sends calls to VM.
