Hi, received a new phone for Xmas with a new carrier (Verizon) and can not make calls to some people (not all) but can’t receive any calls!! Never have experienced this before. We’ve had the phones for almost a week, and this is getting rediculous. I’ve been chatting online with a representative/bot and have gotten nowhere. Does anyone have any suggestions?!  Please?! 🙂

Thanks. We’ve gone through all of that. Status for switching PINS says “in progress” . Is that a normal length of time, considering we have had the phones since Tuesday and it’s now Friday (obviously a holiday in the middle..)?  And is that the issue?

Just to make sure we are on the same page, you needed to update the PIN from your previous provider for your Port Request? What is the status of your request now?

Hi, hope your port finally went through.  It shouldn't be taking this long, as I've used your old carrier before and porting between them and Verizon happened instantaneously for me when I had it done in the stores (two different occasions).  If you're still having the troubles with calls, it's because the port is stuck in limbo.  I'd call T-Mobile first and see what's going on with them, as your transfer PIN might have expired and that can definitely cause porting troubles.  Verizon's Porting Department - there's a number ending in 7095, but I'm not allowed to post the full number in the forums.  The CS reps can, or you can PM them to ask.
