Can third-party app profiles interfere with Verizon network settings?

I’ve been helping someone troubleshoot their iPhone, and we noticed that after using a third-party app installer like the iOS tool, their Verizon eSIM settings reset unexpectedly and iMessage stopped activating.

Could this be caused by configuration profiles conflicting with Verizon’s carrier settings? Or is there a known issue with installing apps outside of the App Store affecting network functions?

We’re trying to narrow down whether it’s the app profile, a recent iOS update, or Verizon-specific provisioning. Would appreciate any insights or similar experiences.

Thanks in advance!

Using third-party apps on an iPhone is generally not recommended due to increased security and privacy risks. While the official Apple App Store provides a vetted environment for apps, third-party stores and sideloaded apps often lack the same security checks, potentially exposing users to malware, privacy violations, and data breaches. We would be glad to assist with troubleshooting this issue. Send us a Private Message to get started.

It's the 3rd party app installer interfering with a carrier phone.
