I have been a long time customer of Verizon, with 3 lines currently. I am upgrading all 3 lines to the new iphone 16s, and ordered 3 different models (16, 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max). I pre-ordered the new iphones on 9/16. The order confirmation had 3 different estimated delivery dates: 9/20 for iphone 16, 9/27 for iphone 16 pro and 10/11 for iphone 16 pro max.
Verizon app currently says delivery date of 9/27 for all 3 iphones. But it’s already 9/28 now and when I call customer service, all they can tell me is that all iphone 16s are delayed and the current estimate is 10/11.
When I asked to speak to a supervisor, first they said someone will call me back in 2 hours. But no one called me back. I called customer service again and asked to speak to a supervisor, they transferred me to an auto-pay setup bot and then hung up on me.
I can walk into a Verizon store now and pick up a new iphone 16, but the online pre-order I placed in 9/16 won’t ship until 10/11? This makes no sense at all.
At a minimum, Verizon should be shipping the iphone 16 when it becomes available, even if 16 pro or 16 pro max may not be available. Customer service is no help either. I am so close to just cancelling everything and switching to a different carrier.
