Delayed iPhone 16, 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max

I have been a long time customer of Verizon, with 3 lines currently. I am upgrading all 3 lines to the new iphone 16s, and ordered 3 different models (16, 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max). I pre-ordered the new iphones on 9/16. The order confirmation had 3 different estimated delivery dates: 9/20 for iphone 16, 9/27 for iphone 16 pro and 10/11 for iphone 16 pro max.
Verizon app currently says delivery date of 9/27 for all 3 iphones. But it’s already 9/28 now and when I call customer service, all they can tell me is that all iphone 16s are delayed and the current estimate is 10/11.
When I asked to speak to a supervisor, first they said someone will call me back in 2 hours. But no one called me back. I called customer service again and asked to speak to a supervisor, they transferred me to an auto-pay setup bot and then hung up on me.
I can walk into a Verizon store now and pick up a new iphone 16, but the online pre-order I placed in 9/16 won’t ship until 10/11? This makes no sense at all.
At a minimum, Verizon should be shipping the iphone 16 when it becomes available, even if 16 pro or 16 pro max may not be available. Customer service is no help either. I am so close to just cancelling everything and switching to a different carrier.

Not a helpful feedback at all. It seems that Verizon is prioritizing in-store purchases over online orders, and also there is no reason for Verizon to try and ship all 3 iphones at the same time, when different models, colors and storage space are becoming available at different times, as you say. Can you confirm that if one of the three iphones I ordered becomes available, that it will be shipped out first individually?

- People just lost everything in hurricane Helene and you’re over here being ungrateful because a phone that is in high demand is delayed at the beginning of its first release? Please, humble yourselF. They said they will get it to you asap!

I don’t think that’s the case because I wanted to buy it in store for that reason, but they didn’t have the black iPhone 16 Pro Max 256GB in store so now I have to wait until October 18 for it to ship. Still kind of weird how they can’t keep up though.

Still why do you guys take preorders if you can fulfill them. I’m not sure if you guys understand how a preorder is supposed to work. But I’m sure you guys set aside phones for new accounts.

Why would Verizon tell customers it would be delivered on a certain date when it wasn’t going to happen? And now when I call, they tell me they will ship it out and I am now expedited. Why is Verizon not telling its customers that it’s delayed

I’ve been waiting since 9/21 - still no phone. Honestly I don’t think I will ever receive it. I’ve called multiple times and also am told it is expedited and will arrive before I know it. Really???? I agree, lies

I was charged on 9/15. Supposed to ship 10/4. It’s now 10/11 and there’s no update even though you’ve had my money for a month.

Same preordered 9.13, said would arrive 10/4. Still says it will arrive 10/4. No updates. A little ridiculous already paid for upgrade over a month ago.

Please check my order as well! I ordered middle of September with estimated Oct 18, and even still says that even though it’s in the past and no update. Tempted to cancel the order and go get it in store like it’s easy to do now.
