Disconnected while porting number

Recently I ordered a phone from Verizon and opted to have my straight talk number ported. I received the phone yesterday and spent all day trying to activate it. On the port status page, it says:
To finish bringing your number, first turn your device off. Wait a few minutes, and then turn it back on.
Ive done that several times and nothing has worked. Iโve called like 7 different Verizon numbers as well as straight talk with no success. Now, itโs saying when I go to activate it online that my service has been disconnected and I have to register again. I bought the phone and initiated the number transfer on the 26th. Anybody know whatโs going on?
