I don’t understand at all what’s going on. I got a new Verizon phone on Dec 26 and opted to have my number transferred from straigh talk. When I got it, I tried to activate it with no success. I went online to check the port status and it says To turn it off for a few minutes and then it back on. Did that multiple times. I turned the old phone off as well multiple times and nothing happened. I contacted gotch me this morning and they told me to call the port department and the sales department. I called both multiple times. When it asks me for my number, i give it. After that, it says “if you need help with your straight talk number, say help”. I say help and it says “one moment please” and disconnects 2 mins later. I’ve done this multiple, multiple times. I go to log into my Verizon account online and it says “your account is unavailable. You no longer have service with Verizon. You will not be able to register.” How did this happen? What do I do? I’ve called the sales team, the port number, and the customer service number multiple times and nothing. I just want to cancel the port and get a new number. Been doing this for two days.

Hi GodStrengthensMe,
We appreciate you bringing this to our attention, and we apologize that you've encountered so many issues while attempting to switch over. I'm sending you a Private Message now in order to collect a few more details.

Based upon what you're saying, the port failed for some reason and your number went back to Straight Talk, so for all practical purposes the port is "cancelled" already. If you simply want a new number on the Verizon phone, shouldn't be an issue and the sales team can set you up with that. But you'll need to contact Straight Talk and disconnect the current number or they'll keep on billing you for their line.

What number would I call? The phone keeps disconnecting or they say “sorry, we can’t connect you” when I accept the “new customer” option.

You need to call Straight Talk's customer care line regarding the canceled/failed port and/or to disconnect your existing number.
I'd give you the number for Straight Talk here, but regular forum members aren't allowed to post phone numbers. If you Google "Straight Talk customer service", the number appears immediately.
