I have an iPhone XR that was purchased at BestBuy in July 2019. I am the original owner. It was new. This phone was a replacement for a phone that was on the Visible network (Verizon subsidiary). The SIM card from that phone was placed in the XR, and has been on the Visible network from the day we bought it in July 2019. It has worked without a hiccup since then. We are traveling internationally. I attempted to upgrade to an eSIM. It said it was locked. Visible says they need Verizon to unlock it. I read Verizon's policy is 60 days and they will automatically unlock. Well, it been 6 years. If they don't unlock, it was suggested to factory reset. I did this twice with the SIM card removed. Still not unlocked. I tried DoctorSIM. The results were that it was carrier locked and they are unable to unlock it. This is the error they gave: Carrier: US Verizon Locked Activation Policy
