Hi
My iphone 16 pro is not receiving calls and not registering calls in call log and also not receiving vm that clients are saying they left.
This has been going for a while and i have reset network, called verizon & apple and no one can explain why I am not receiving calls
I have completed every troubleshooting step and still having the same issue.
The biggest problem is I am not aware of which calls I am missing but some calls come through
Please help

At least two phones on my plan have this same issue. Have spent hours on the phone with Verizon, in the Verizon store, and just searching online for possible solutions. In store rep offered a refurbished phone replacement, but reading online seems to indicate there may be even more issues, including still the same issue with refurbished replacements. Online tech solution (after 3 hours of troubleshooting) was to add another line for a “free” phone “replacement” (lol). Airplane mode trick suggested does not work, so the only current solution is to reboot phone at least once a day and HOPE that temporarily allows calls to go thru. Would love to get a hard reason for this issue as to whether it is hardware issue with the iPhone 16’s or service issue with Verizon.

We're sorry to hear two of your devices are experiencing issues with calls and voicemails, dbc516. We appreciate the steps you have taken so far and want to ensure there is a resolution for you. Please tell us more about this. When did this issue start? Does this happen when in a certain location? Are the voicemails in your voicemail box, but you are not receiving the alerts that a new message is left?

Issue has been occurring for several months or more. Due to network issues following Hurricane Helene impacting the service area for phone #1, we did not start trying to trouble the issue until February - March of this year. While trying to troubleshoot phone #2 in late March - April we noticed that phone #2 also experienced the same issue at times.
I have spent hours on the phone with Verizon support without resolution. One phone was carried into a Verizon Store for support without resolution. The two phones are not often location, so no. The first post / poster describes the issue very well.

Today, following conversation with Apple Support, the eSIM was reset. Three hours later the issue reoccurred

same exact issue and I am frankly at my wits end. I have been a verizon customer for 23 years. The amount of time spent on these customer service chats is ridiculous. My phone keeps going into SOS mode, zero reason why, I was finally told you need a new SIM card, and one was "orderd" and being sent. well SHOCKER it was never sent, go figure! and no one can answer why, in another super long "chat" given the run around, I just ended the chat and ordered this SIM card myself on my account. I'm not holding my breath. I have done all the tricks to get my phone to work, I can NOT make phone calls or receive them. I am just disgusted. i am really hoping this isnt happening as a sneaky way to get a customer to have to buy a new phone?????

It is important that you have a working phone, and we want to make sure you get a new sim card if that is what is needed to resolve this. I am sending you a private message to make sure your concerns are addressed.

I have been having these issues as well with an iPhone 13 Pro Max and regular 13. I have gone through every troubleshooting step, tried all the online suggestions, and I'm told it is something in my house. It is NOT, as NOTHING in my house has changed in the entire time I've been here. It used to be fine, but it's just getting worse. It's now affecting my CGM, and my husband and I are missing important calls because of it. I'm about ready to jump to another cell provider to see if I get better service and coverage. Shame as i've been with Verizon for a long time and outside of this ongoing issue, not had problems

Hello artsysusie! As there as many factors which impact indoor coverage we do recommend utilizing our free Wi-Fi calling feature along with a separate reliable Wi-fi connection in home to ensure you can make and receive calls from there without issue. Details on activating this can be found on our page here:
https://www.verizon.com/support/knowledge-base-204165/
Do keep in mind the initial activation of Wi-Fi calling in the phone's settings does require a stable 4G LTE or 5G connection, so it is sometimes necessary to bring the phone to a location with a strong signal to enable it to then use in home on Wi-Fi.
