I have a delay in Voicemails showing up on my iphone 14 pro running 17.4.1. Sometimes days late. Dangerous for my job. Any suggestions other than checking VM manually?

Hello jpc12. That is alarming! We do not want to put you in danger with your job. Some iPhone 14 Pro users have reported voicemail notifications that are delayed by hours or days. Here are some things to try:
- Check your internet connection: Voicemail services may require a data connection to work. Make sure mobile data is turned on, and you can access data with Wi-Fi turned off.
- Update your iPhone: Check for updates to your iOS and carrier settings.
- Restart your phone: Try enabling and reenabling the voicemail feature, or restarting your phone.
- Check your voicemail app: Make sure there is no low power setting or anything for it.
- Delete old voicemails: Some users have found that permanently deleting old voicemails fixes the problem.
Send us a private message if the delayed voicemails continue to occur and will digg deeper.

We know it's important to receive your voicemails in a timely fashion! I see that you've deleted your old voicemails. Have you followed the additional steps supplied above?
- Check your internet connection: Voicemail services may require a data connection to work. Make sure mobile data is turned on, and you can access data with Wi-Fi turned off.
- Update your iPhone: Check for updates to your iOS and carrier settings.
- Restart your phone: Try enabling and reenabling the voicemail feature, or restarting your phone.
- Check your voicemail app: Make sure there is no low power setting or anything for it.
Also, when you deleted your voicemails, did you also open the Deleted Voicemails option and Clear All to permanently delete them?

Joe, I have implemented all of your suggestions, and voicemails are still delayed. I even turned off Group Notifications in Notifications as well in the phone app. I reset my Network Settings. As a last resort I changed my greeting to: “You’ve reached Jim’s phone. If you intend to leave a message please note Verizon voicemail delivery is unreliable. I suggest you send me a backup text as well.”

I have an iPhone 12 mini and experience delayed voicemails. My iOS is up to date and I have restarted my phone, but still some voicemails arrive days or weeks late! And sometimes several suddenly appear at once even though the timestamps are totally different dates. This is extremely bad because I have missed urgent voicemails from my children and related to work. Fix this issue!

Been having the same issue for years. Complained many times . It's just Verizon's horrible service. They don't have a clue.

I am having the same issue. It's a problem with my work. Verizon should stop blaming customers (clear your voicemails, restart your phone). When there are so many people with different phones having the same problem it's time for Verizon to check THEIR OWN network connection.

I have been having the same issue for months . I just had 3 notifications arrive in the middle of the night for calls/voicemails I received yesterday morning. On top of this, data connection has been a huge problem - and as a food delivery driver it is absolutely essential for my job. It is infuriating. If you pay hundreds of dollars a month for Verizon service it should not be this way!
