Locked out of apple music subscription

My dad has been locked out of his Apple Music account for 2 years now and It still has the same error message now. The message reads some like "Already been used with a different Apple ID" my dad and I love music so I gave him my Apple ID for him to use in exchange for a spotify subscription. Now I just don't see sense in why I pay $13 for a service I already have for free (also because I think apple music is better than spotify)

I want to note that my dad had a pixel and already had been using apple music with no issues for 4 years prior to this. This also happened when he  got his phone replaced.

My best guesses are that something happened in the set up process that bricked apple music or we both don't remember his Apple ID and have just been inputting it wrong.  Any Ideas?

angccm, I definitely like having access to my music streaming apps, and am sorry to read about the trouble your dad is running into with his Apple Music log in! Let's make sure he can stream his favorites. To clarify, is the Apple Music account he's attempting to log into linked to an Apple Music subscription via My Verizon? You mentioned that you shared your Apple Music ID with your dad to log in. Is it possible that the Apple ID is being used both on his device and yours? To clarify, is it a single Apple Music subscription or a Family plan?
