New customer number transfer, new phone in the mail, old phone not working

Hi. 

I ordered a new phone/plan through verizon. I am coming from xfinity mobile. I have not received the new verizon phone yet, but the transfer number process says complete as of 2 days ago.  Yesterday, xfinity canceled my services so now I can only use my phone on WiFi.  I can't make any outgoing calls, receive any incoming calls, and I am pretty sure I can't text anyone other than another iphone user.  Making it really difficult to call verizon, and the online chat is absolutely useless. 

When I click track my order, it brings me to My Verizon to sign in and track it, however, I can't do that because I don't know my account number. My phone number isn't able to be linked at this time and the order status option is unable to retrieve results at this time.... 

I thought when the # transfer was completed, I could still use my current phone until the new one comes in. I've followed the directions on shutting it off for a few minutes, didn't work, I even left it off overnight, still nothing. I am very confused and haven't dealt with this before. 

Does anyone know any tricks or tips to get my service working on my old phone through the verizon carrier until my new one is delivered?

Do you have a Verizon SIM card in your current phone?  If you got notification from Verizon that the porting process finalized, all you would have to do is activate your existing phone and then it would work.  When the new phone arrives, you switch the device in your account to the new phone.
