My iphone is not receiving text from select group Text strings. This seems to happen when there is an android phone involved. I have an iPhone 13 with plenty of storage space available. Thank you for your help

Have you tried the tips in the article in the Knowledge Hub section? Go to Knowledge Hub under the Quick Links to the right and there's a thread there about texting issues on iPhones.
I have the same issue and I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max and have tried all of the suggested fixes:
Nothing really seems to make a difference. I don't get some group messages from android users and apparently Amazon order requests from my kids now either. No iphone message issues (groups our by themselves) on or off wifi. Single non group android messages are not a problem either.

When did the issue start (time/date; did it ever work)? What recent changes have you made (new phone, software update, new apps, relocated, trip, etc.)? Who else is experiencing this problem (other account users, friends, family, neighbors, coworkers, etc.)? Aside from the messages, any other problems (calls/data)?

The issue really became noticeable the last few days when I was asked why I didn't respond to text messages and then also didn't receive the shortcode text from Amazon to approve an order last night. The only change was the ios update about a week ago. The only issue prior was a weird lag in my message app. Nothing else has changed at all!

Any updates on this? I occasionally do not receive messages or images in a group text that includes android users (I'm on an iPhone 15). Never happens with iPhone only groups. Sometimes I do get them eventually but they are out of order (arrive after other messages that were sent later). Happens on my wife's iPhone too (iPhone 14). We noticed this only this year.

I’ve had this issue for weeks. It happened once I updated to iOS 18. I’ve done every troubleshooting step on Verizon’s page. Starting to lose faith in Verizon between this and slower than normal service.

I just switched to Verizon last week and got a new iPhone 16. Since then, I have not been able to participate in group SMS threads. If RCS and MMS settings are both on, I can receive SMS sent to a group thread, but I cannot respond. The SMS I attempt to send fails to deliver. If I turn RCS setting off, then I stop receiving SMS’s sent to a group thread. If I turn RCS on, but MMS off, when I respond to a group thread, it sends the message to each member of the group individually. I also can’t send or receive MMS, while this setting is turned off. Basically, there is no setting configuration that works. If this can’t be resolved, I’ll need to leave Verizon. It’s totally untenable to not be able text in this day and age and with “the latest technology”.
Having all your messaging working properly is crucial. As someone who relies on my own texting back and forth constantly, I realize how stressful this must be. We will ensure this gets turned around for you ASAP. A private message is being sent to assist you further.

I've been having a similar issue since middle of September with a 14 Plus. There's a lag in group chats that involve an android and when photos are sent in these group chats everything sends out of order. This only happens with group chats, if I'm messaging a single android user everything acts as normal. iPhone to iPhone messaging and group chats are also fine. One of the group chats affected on my end is my family group chat where we are all on the same account, everyone receives these messages fine except me and my 2 sisters also have iPhones. I've also had calls go straight to voicemail but I'm unsure if this is related.
I've been back and forth from Apple to Verizon multiple times, Apple says it's Verizon, Verizon says it's Apple. Apple has reset my network settings, messed with some other settings multiple times, I also went to Verizon at this time to have my eSIM replaced, that still didn't fix it so Apple replaced all the hardware in my phone which still didn't work and eventually even sent me a new phone which still didn't fix it. Apple told me to have Verizon turn my line off and on, the Verizon store only gave me the phone number for tech support which was zero help because they refused to help me due to not being the primary account holder (it's my mom and she gave me log in access). At this point if theres no fix I will have to switch providers, for all the money we pay I shouldn't be having this issue since forever.

I’m having the same issue, has been going in for about 1.5 weeks now. I only receive sporadic messages from group texts that involve Android users. Sometimes they come in hours later, but typically not at all. I’ve tried the troubleshoot items listed online (toggle MMS, make sure phone is fully updated, have plenty storage available, etc.) and it’s still not resolved. Has anyone here been able to find a resolution yet?
On my group texts with Android users, I find that the non-Verizon iPhone users have no problem, so it’s clearly some kind of Verizon issue. Please advise.

I have had similar issues. Either I don’t get a group message at all or sometimes a message looks like it was sent only to me but it was actually sent to the whole group. I got this new Iphone 16 last month. Most messages arrive but once in a while there is a glitch.

One of my family plan phones is having this same issue. We have gone through all the setting configurations and potential blocks we could find. The phone is under my 13 y.o. son’s name, and we’re on the family plan but I can’t find any more settings to change that would be blocking these group messages. All necessary settings are set to allow group messaging but he can’t see group texts that include android phones. Please advise on how to fix. Thank you.
Is there a solution to this? It seems like no one is answering? New iPhone 16. One certain group text. Was told to enable some text setting that isn't even there. Is my daughter's phone so she's at school. This is frustrating as heck. Brand new phone.

This is happening to both my wife and I in group threads. This is seems to be Verizon specific - friends on Verizon have the issue but those on AT&T don't. I'm happy to communicate in a private message, but maybe Verizon could figure out what the actual problem is and post a public fix instead?

Happening on my iPhone 15 pro max since April. Had no issues with group texts between iPhone and android phone prior to then.

I am having the same issue. iPhone 16 Pro Max, using the messages app, and for the past month or so I will sometimes not receive an image that someone with an Android sends. Sometimes the RCS reactions work, and sometimes I get a "Reacted to an image" message instead of the reaction. I've turned off and on MMS, RCS, iMessage, Airplane Mode, Send as Text Message, Filter Unknown Senders, Reset Network Settings, Power off and Power on, Soft Reset, etc. iOS is up to date as well. Nothing has worked.
