Is anyone else having issues with using RCS messaging on IOS 18? I was hoping RCS messaging would work on my iPhone after updating to IOS 18. But RCS messaging only shows up in message settings, not under IMS status. In IMS status only Voice & SMS show. I spoke with Verizon about this but they thought it was an Apple issue. However, later I tried my sister's AT&T SIM in my iPhone and RCS messaging popped up right away. So I think it's a Verizon issue. Any suggestions? I've tried turning my phone on and off, removing the SIM for 10 minutes, etc.
We want to make sure you are able to take advantage of all your phone features. In this case, you can activate RCS under Settings>Apps>Messages>RCS. If you have any issues, let us know.

I have to turn off my phone every day to get RCS to work one maybe two times and then back to sms. Why?

I’m having the same issue. Some days RCS works, some days it doesn’t. I also use a VPN and it won’t work if I’ve got the VPN on which is irritating.

I'm sorry to read that you're also having issues with RCS as well. Can you confirm the make/model of your device? Do you only experience these issues when you're using the VPN?

An update here on my problem with RCS... Verizon was unable to help me so I finally switched to AT&T, still using my iPhone SE. For a day or two, RCS didn't work with AT&T either. Then I switched SIM cards with a friend for a few minutes on Jan. 1. And suddenly, after reinserting my AT&T SIM, RCS worked and has been mostly working ever since. My friend's SIM card was from Verizon, and oddly enough, RCS did not work for her either, until the morning of Jan. 1. Then it suddenly started working for her too. She has an iPhone SE as well.
