I have an iPhone 13 with the latest release of iOS 17. Back in October, I recorded a new personal greeting announcing that I was out on vacation for a week.
I've tried several times since then to record a new personal greeting without the vacation message, and although it records and then plays correctly when I listen to it, if someone calls my phone and I don't answer, they get the old "vacation" greeting. Even if I go to "Personal options -> personal greeting", it plays the new one. But callers get the old one.
I've never had this issue before.

I know I would want to be able to update my voicemail greeting after a return from vacation as well, adleeds. I hope you had a relaxing time on your trip back in October. Let's see if we can help to get this updated. What happens if you change your voicemail greeting back to the default greeting? If that changes it, what happens if you then go back to the new custom greeting in the voicemail settings?

My similar problem (incoming calls getting my OLD voicemail message when I also had Live Voicemail activated on my iPhone 13) was resolved when I discovered that I had a bunch of very old voicemails that needed to be deleted. My account allows only 20 saved messages. I had not meant to save ANY but by not actually deleting them, they were still in my saved box. Not exactly sure why, but glad that problem seems to be solved.
