Dear Verizon Support Team,
I bought this iPhone from a third-party seller outside the U.S., so I don’t have the original Verizon account or receipt.
The device is clean, fully paid off, and not reported as lost or stolen. I just need to have it unlocked for international use, as I’m currently living outside the United States.
I really appreciate any help you can provide or if you could forward this to the unlock department.
Kind regards,
Leo

Hi, I don't like having to say this, but there is no way to get your iPhone unlocked because you are not the original owner and the phone's history can't be vetted. Not every blacklisting website is completely accurate. It's also possible the phone was stolen during shipment and then dumped overseas for fast money. You'll need to get a refund from the seller. This is a very common problem with phones purchased second-hand through 3rd party vendors.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.

Hi SynthpopAddict,
Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts — I really appreciate your honesty and input.
Just to clarify, the device was purchased legitimately through a verified store, and I have all the related documents (including proof of purchase and carrier check reports) confirming it is clean and not blacklisted or stolen.
I fully understand Verizon’s policies regarding account ownership and activation history. However, I believe there should still be a process for verifying legitimate ownership for second-hand buyers, especially when all supporting documentation can be provided.
I’m not questioning your comment — it’s valid and helpful — but I hope Verizon’s customer service or executive relations team can take this as feedback to improve the unlock policy for legitimate secondary owners.
Thanks again for your kind reply and your time.
