Two months ago I was pressured into changing plans for the "privilege" of staying with Verizon and upgrading my phones. Today I chat to look into prices to upgrade my two daughters phones. I am told that one line (mind you have the same plan Unlimited Welcome plan) one would give me an I phone 16 for 0 per month 16 plus for $2.75 per month and a 16 pro for 4.72 per month. but my other daughter line would need to upgrade to unlimited ultimate to get any discounts or trade ins. No one can tell me why. It makes no sense. I have transferred to other people I and they tell me something different and disconnect me. I call in and then told something different. I ask for a manager and I am transferred to JOHN. He tells me again I need to upgrade my plan to be able to trade in. I asked him 3 simple questions.
1) why is my one line not eligible for upgrade with the same plan as the other line that is getting offered a upgrade for $4.72 per month.
2) why was I lied to about changing the plan and getting the eligibility to upgrade my phone.
3) after 25 years with verizon why should I stay with verizon when you are nickle and diming me. I can go today to T mobile Port my number Get two brand new phones with the trade in. Less per month for those phones. and if I do it on line not have to pay the stupid 35$ upgrade fee.
I said do not say that your network is better because in my area it is not the better network. He responds that the network is better. He then starts to argue with me and talking down to me, lecturing me. I ask to speak to someone else and he refuses. I call back and ask to speak to a manager in the US call center. I am transferred to someone else who is not a supervisor nor in the US call center.
You are off shoreing your call center. Fine not happy with that, but if you are please train them to "Listen and Hear" the comments not go off of a script.
So I ask you the same three questions. I look forward to your response.
