Unable to call 800 or 866 toll free numbers

I am unable to make calls to 8[phone number removed per the Verizon Terms of Service] etc, and getting welcome to Verizon message but your cannot be completed as dialed.

I can make other calls just not 800 numbers

Can you dial the 800 numbers if you first dial 1, then the area code, then the phone number?

I got the same issue here since I transferred my family lines to Verizon.  I reported the issue for about 10days but still no progress.
