So I purchased a used iPhone from Verizon 4 months ago and the battery has been draining crazy quick. Why did it come with a warranty of a year and now it’s out of warranty? I am so confused and would like to know if anyone can answer this question.

If the phone came with a warranty of 1 year, then it should still be under warranty, unless the fine print states the battery is not covered? As for why the battery is draining that fast, having certain apps running in the background will eat up the battery life. I'd Google "battery drain iPhone" for things to try. If none of that helps, it's possible the battery itself is no longer holding a charge well, as batteries can only be recharged so many times before they won't stay charged.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.
