I always make my payment earlier than due date and they still overcharge me on my wireless bill every time I think 🤔 ones the employees get into your account what ever money you pay on your bill they hack back in and put it to there cellphone account or they add your phone number to there account so they can charge you whatever they like so you can keep over paying them I think they still doing it to me because I catch one of there employees went into my boyfriend account and keep the phone replacement phone he had and would not give it to him and charge him a lot of money after we told on the when Verizon was on the news

I  overcharged after I over paid in  October,November,December and January

If you are on autopay, let the autopay take care of the payment, because if you pay early, it is not considered an "autopay" and hence you will not get the autopay discount.  If you are not on autopay at all and are paying your bill manually every month, then you will not get the autopay either.  I am prepaid so don't get an itemized bill, but others have reported there is a line called "autopay non-compliance fee" which is an extra $10/month when you are not using autopay.
