So I've twice talked to Verizon representatives to have my devices unlocked, and each time, they said they should be unlocked within 24 hours, and each time, it never happened (even after reboots).
This is infuriating. We paid our devices off over 9 months ago, and have been using Verizon for several years. The FCC requires, and Verizon states that, phones are unlocked automatically after 60 (or maybe 90) days. Well, it's been over three years, and these devices are owned, and I'd like to find out why Verizon locks us into their service, or requires us to buy new phones in order to switch to someone else.
Any advice or help appreciated.

We want to make sure that you're able to unblock your phone without any issues. Just to be sure, are you referring to unlocking your device? If so, Verizon devices are unlocked automatically like you mentioned, and we're going to do everything we can to help. What's going on with your phone that leads you to believe that it's locked by us?

This is some kind of IT glitch, and sadly, not a lot of Verizon reps even know how to get around the problem from what I've read elsewhere in the forums. You may have to file a complaint with the FCC to get it fixed. ☹️
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.
