what a nightmare! I called Verizon to have them help me and I was able okd it was possible to put my pre-existing phone number onto my other phone because there was a new feature to be able to have two numbers on one pheone. I was told that they had added the phone number and it was ready but instead they had mistakenly disconnected that numbet. After they disconnected it I was told I couldn't get it back. I was then told the number had been assigned to someone else and if I wanted two numbers on one phone I would need a different number. Then I wad told they could get my bumer back but I would need to wait four days. A supervisor promised me it would happen automatically and he would call me in four days to make sure and in the meantime gave me a temporary phone number. Four days later it did not go back to the number that was incorrectly disconnected and I never got to call from the supervisor. I had to call and was transferred without notifying me after 40 minutes on hold when they were working on it. The Port department that I was transferred to was incorrect do they transferred me to disconnect35 which told me they could only reactivate my nimber if it was due to non-payment but I haven't missed a payment in 23 years so then I was transferred back to customer service who told me only tier two level could help me and I was put on hold again. The solution was to delete the temporary number and reactivate my number that had been disconnected by Verizon in error. Ther is not supposed to be a charge for reactivating my number that should not have been disconnected in the firstplace. I will never be recommending Verizon to anyone because of this bungled mess.
