I've had this problem for I don't know how long. I have a prepaid account, but I've had the same number for over 4-5yrs now and I've been told/shown that whenever I call someone , the name shown is not mine(I've come to find out it is I suppose the previous owner of the number) and I don't know how to change it.
I've called support and spoke to someone about it once before but they said there is no other name on my account and it should be showing mine, but it still doesn't.

This is likely a problem with a CNAM database entry not being updated somewhere. Searching elsewhere on the internet hasn't come up with a surefire solution for getting it fixed.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.
