iMessage won’t activate with phone number

Recently switched from T-Mobile to Verizon and there was a couple day delay in our two phone numbers/lines getting transferred. Everything was fixed and now iMessage says activation unsuccessful and won’t allow me to use my phone number. I’ve turned it off, deleted the number from my apple account and added it back. I’ve forced restarted, signed out of apple and signed back in. I’ve done everything I can think of and it still is not letting me select my phone number as the send and receive default. In my messages app with contacts that also have iMessage on, it is showing that I can send through iMessage with all of them except to the other line I switched at the same time. Could that be the issue? The other line is allowing iMessage with that phones number

Have you done a network reset on your phones?  Based upon what I've seen elsewhere on the internet, that can help.  Or Verizon needs to redo the activation on both phones.
