Wondering if anyone else has had issues with obtaining this deal. I'm well aware of Verizon's practices but this was a particularly bad example. I've now spoken to 3 different sales advisors and gotten different estimates each time for this "deal." The first advisor claimed that I could upgrade my current phone for free, plus also receive an iPad and a Watch for free, over 36 months. When I pressed on the monthly cellular fee that would likely be tied to it, they claimed that my bill would not change at all. $0/month for everything. Sounds great right? Then the chat disconnected, losing all progress. Next advisor apologizes for the previous comments and states that the "free" $369 iPad will actually cost me over $400 over the 36 months because of the cellular connection and the "free" $249 watch will actually cost me about $400 as well over 36 months. I'm not sure how many people actually really need a cellular connection for an iPad or a Watch but I'm guessing it's a very small minority. I stated my frustration with these two very different explanations and the chat was lost again. Third advisor added to the previous and stated that actually I cannot use the deal on an upgraded line and that I would need an entirely new line of service. And now suddenly, the iPhone also is not free and will actually cost about $600 over 36 months PLUS I'd need to upgrade my line of service for $10/month. Bringing the grand total for all 3 devices to....just under $1800 over the course of 36 months. Be better, Verizon.
