iPhone 15 pro max carrier lock for virizone

Hi I'm wanting to unlock my iPhone 15 pro max that was gifted to me so I can use any carrier it told me to contact the provider it was bought in new york from a retail store I'm not residing within the United States currently so I can't go to Verizon store so I have to contact via email/website since I have no service & can't call how do I resolve this issue.
