iPhone 16 Pros delayed? Was promised delivery on 9/20 when placing the order and still waiting!

I ordered 3 iPhone 16 Pro's on 9/13 - original estimated delivery date was 9/20, and that is still what it says online - and still nothing has shipped - meanwhile I can go to most nearby stores and they have inventory of the iPhone 16 Pros.... Customer service has been useless, making empty promises to me- first on 9/20 they said it should ship with in 1-2 days... then when it didn't ship at that point they said it should ship by the 28th, chatted with them again today and can't provide an estimate and put in an escalation ticket... Clearly something is wrong with the system or my order somehow got skipped over but no at Verizon can help me. I'm considering just cancelling and going to a nearby store (not Verizon at this point) and getting them.... I can't believe I pre-ordered on the first day - was promised release date delivery, and still don't have my phone - anyone else have a similar experience or can anyone from Verizon actually help me - I'm feeling duped into preordering from Verizon, by them promising a delivery date they couldn't fulfill!
