I'm trying to activate a phone I recently got from a friend; his ex tried to take his phone, so he marked it as stolen but once he got it back, he called Verizon to remove it from the stolen device blacklist and Verizon promptly did so before giving it to me.
However, the device is still seen as blacklisted on every other IMEI database weโve looked up the IMEl on, including T-Mobile.
Weโre very confused; we've tried calling Verizon but they claim it's clean.
WhenI attempt to activate it, it simply fails, saying SOS. I'm really stuck as I need a new phone; please help!!
