Retrieving pictures off of PCD Escapade WP8990?

Hello,

I have my mom's old phone (PCD Escapade WP8990) that is no longer activated.   There are several dozen pictures I would like to retrieve, but since the service is dead, there's no way to message the pictures to online storage or IM them to someone.   I took the phone to a repair place and they have a dongle that will connect the phone to the computer via the USB interface, but I don't think the phone was recognized by the computer.

How can I get the pictures off this phone?   There are some pictures of my deceased father that my mom would really enjoy having.  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Does the phone have bluetooth? If so you can get a bluetooth adapter that plugs into the USB port of a computer fairly cheap and try and transfer that way.  Mary
