$100 Verizon gift card that was ordered online not working/activated

Last week I ordered a $100 Verizon gift card from Verizon.com & received it today. Upon trying to check my card balance & receiving "The Gift Card Number or the PIN used is invalid" error I've come to the conclusion that my card was never activated. Please help
