I have a paid off collections account of $160 from January 2024 that just got me denied from an apartment application. I'm trying to get it stricken from my credit history because I want to not be homeless.
I've read at least a dozen posts of Verizon customers being able to pay to delete these collection accounts from their credit, but the representative I just spoke to said it wasn't an option. Why did she tell me this?
